So it’s no secret that leather is HUGE this season (go check out my post from a few weeks ago, “Leather Weather”). It’s classic, comfortable, and goes with everything, BUT it can also expensive. And if you’re like me, and a broke college student, then buying leather apparel isn’t exactly ideal. I mean there’s rent, books, gas, and bar money, so let’s face it, not many of us can afford that soft italian leather jacket we’ve secretly been eyeing. In my opinion, it’s all about the details and how you accessorize! Try finding a jacket, like my BDG camo jacket (Urban Outfitters), that has subtle leather details on the zippers, pockets, and shoulder. Also, leather jewelry like my BP black, studded wrap bracelet from Nordstrom is great accessory if you’re looking to add a little edge. And finally, if you can find some money in your budget, consider splurging on a leather purse. My black and white Kate Spade is my go-to-bag. It’s classic and is perfect for any season!
I don’t know about you guys…but I’m seriously ready for Halloween! I can’t wait to watch the 13 Nights of Halloween, eat candy corn, and wear fall outfits! I’ve been trying to figure out an outfit for a Halloween party, and we aren’t supposed to dress up in a costume, so this is my idea for a Halloween Party non-costume outfit!
I love this new trend of spiked bracelets, necklaces, earrings, you name it! It’s all over the runway as well as the celebrities. I have recently even bought a few pieces myself. Edgy, but still beautiful and artistic; I think it’s a look that’s sure to be around for a while!
The newest trend this summer is floral jeans. These jeans are fun and chic and will put a skip in your step. Don’t think you can rock floral jeans? Think again!Taking the same pair of jeans, the Current/Elliot The Stiletto Floral Print Skinny Jeans ($228), two different looks have been created. Whether your style is clean and classic, or edgy and cool, these jeans are surprisingly versatile when paired with the right accents.
