Lost Art by Jordan Betten

Last week the class I’m in visited New York City for a week long fashion tour.  One of the places we visited was designer Jordan Betten’s Lost Art showroom.  With mainly exotic animal leathers like alligator, python, and calf skin, and some animal furs, he, his wife and his design assistant Fabiola hand weave and stitch the leather into capes, jackets, pants, belts, and bags.  The craftsmanship and aesthetics of his work is absolutely incredible; it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.  His pieces are regularly featured in Vogue and Elle and he works with musicians like Lenny Kravitz. Below are a few pictures of the show room and garments! Be sure to follow him on instagram at @lostartbetten to see more of his artwork and designs!
