I don’t know about you, but I’ve been seeing a lot more pink recently, and in hair no less! Not just in teenagers rebelling from their parents, but in some adults. Take January Jones debuting her ‘rose gold’ highlights at the PaleyFest 2012 held in Beverly Hills. She told Instyle.com “It’s just my time to do something different and fun”. A few years ago Julia Roberts debut some pink streaks in her hair, on the advice of her then 4-year old daughter. Even stars such as Lauren Conrad and Chloë Grace Moretz have been experimenting with the trend.
If you’re not ready to go all out on the hair color, such as Kelly Osbourne and Katy Perry have been famous for, then try for just the highlights. You can easily go to the salon and ask your trusted hairstylist for your own take on this trend. However, if you’re style and wallet-savvy, as most of us are, and you’re looking for super temporary, then try chalk coloring your hair, instructions can be found here (How-to steps from thebeautydepartment.com), or even using what many call hair mascara, which can be found in most drugstores or online at Ulta.com here. You can also try hair extensions, which can be found at salons, in beauty stores, or online such as here at Hairextensions.com.
We’re young, we’re hip, and we could use a little fun in our hair, even if it is temporary!
