Peggy Quesenberry received an eponymous award for her endless support to FMDS and Apparel Department. The Peggy Quesenberry Award will be given out each year to a different faculty member. More awards were given out to devoted FMDS members for their service to the organization and school, as well as their capacity to thrive in the textile and apparel industry. Honorees included:

  • Scholarship, Priya Singh: Dedicated to both their academics and the fashion industry
  • Outstanding New Member, Turner Widgen: Shows outstanding service to FMDS as well as within the apparel industry and the school
  • Most Valuable Member, Alison Firich: Has demonstrated a valiant effort in FMDS, the AHRM program and/or in the fashion industry
  • Outstanding Senior, Christie Bradshaw: Has demonstrated great service to the organization, the ARHM program and/or shows great promise in the fashion industry

The evening consisted of a delicious catered dinner, live music, a silent auction and welcoming speeches by FMDS Advisor, Dr. Luann Gaskill; Gala coordinator, Lauren Ehrensberger; and FMDS president, Sheridan Tupman. FMDS alum Alana Marrie addressed members on her journey through the daunting world of fashion. Her road to success certainly wasn’t easy; but she kept a persistent attitude and never gave up on her goal of making a mark on the industry. She left us with this,

I hope to see you all one day in New York, painting the town maroon and orange.
