Now it is easy to be fashionable and give back to the community at the same time. The new charitable shopping website Community Collection (www.communitycollection.com) was launched today. This trailblazing site combines online shopping and goodwill.
Products from designers including Alexander Wang, Helmut Lang, and Rebecca Taylor are featured on the site, with 20% of the sale of each item being donated to a charity of the company’s choice. Some charities benefitting from Community Collection are American Cancer Society, Operation Homefront, Inhabit for World Wildlife Fund, and Operation Smile.
Six new designers will be added each week, constantly giving shoppers more choices and variety. A status bar on the site helps the consumer keep track of the status of project goals from the charity they donated to.
