Tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct 4, supermodel Freja Beha Erichsen will be donating her entire day’s salary–walking in shows that include Chanel and Valentino–to Doctor’s Without Borders.
“I’ve always admired what they do,” she tells Vogue.com. “As an organization, they’re among the first to react around the world. As individuals, they’re incredibly brave, leaving their homes and countries in the [service] of others.”
Erichsen has recruited fellow models Arizona Muse, Abbey Lee Kershaw, and Kinga Rajzak to do the same, and is hoping to get stylists, makeup artists, and more models to join her efforts.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Here are some beauty products you can snag to do your part in donating to the cause while looking pretty in pink:
- Smashbox will donate 100% of proceeds from its $22 O-Gloss to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation
- Aquage’s Finishing Spray cans have been turned pink for the month, and the company is donating $100,000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
- Diptyque will donate 20% of proceeds from its sweet rose candles to the Pink Agenda, a foundation that helps young professionals battling cancer.
