Coming this fall Versace will add its name to a long list of designers who have collaborated with the Swedish fast-fashion chain. The looks will appear in 300 H&M stores beginning November 19th. When speaking about the collection, Donatella Versace said that “The collection will be quintessential Versace” ( dailyfrontrow.com). The anticipated collection will include menswear and womenswear featuring bold prints, leather, silk, and other classic touches of Versace.
Not only is she collaborating with the brand, but she is also designing a pre-spring line available January 19th, 2012 on H&M e-commerce sites. Donatella will also be the first designer to feature bedding and home decor. The in-store collection will also feature shoes and costume jewelry for women, along with jewelry and belts for men. Of the collection, H&M creative advisor Margareta van den Bosch said “Versace is sharing with us iconic designs from the archives. This is such a celebratory collaboration”(dailyfrontrow.com). Only one question remains…how many months until November?
