A wide range of exciting styles for Fall 2011 dominated Fashion Week, almost making one wish for autumn to arrive early this year.
Tartan plaid showed up on purses, pants, coats, and skirts from Rag & Bone, Burberry Prorsum, and Sonia Rykiel. The mod style of the sixties was rocked down the runway, whether trimmed with fur à la Jean Paul Gaultier, or in bold orange and white like Bottega Veneta.
S&M inspired ensembles complete with bondage straps and tight leather corsets were present in the collections of Louis Vuitton and Alexander McQueen. Long, ground skimming coats completed looks from Christian Dior, Emporio Armani, and Missoni. Black and white polka dots dominated ensembles from Marc Jacobs and Diane von Furstenberg.
Jil Sander, Celine, and Max Mara all sent simple, chic sportswear down the runway, mostly in neutral colors with pops of color here and there. Models donning outfits with crisp lines and geometric prints glided down the catwalk for Balenciaga and Narciso Rodriguez.
With all the unique trends for Fall 2011 to choose from, there will certainly be something for every fashionista.
