The longtime creative director of Dior has been suspended from the line as of this morning, reported Daily Front Row. It was reported that while at a Parisian restaurant John Galliano was arrested for alleged assault and anti-semitic comments toward a couple. Eye witnesses have told officials that Galliano was under the influence when the incident took place.
Dior’s CEO Sidney Toledano said in a statement that “Dior affirms with the utmost conviction its policy of zero tolerance towards any antisemitic or racist words or behavior.’ Toledano also mentioned that “pending the results of the inquiry, Christian Dior has suspended John Galliano from his responsibilities.” As of now, the Paris police are investigating the case before they hand it over to the Paris public prosecutor’s office.
