Women’s Wear Daily celebrated its 100th anniversary on Monday, Nov 1. They celebrated by releasing a special commemorative magazine that traces the evolution of fashion as well as the magazine’s own fashion coverage over the past 100 years.
The artists who designed the special anniversary cover put a montage of notable designers, fashion socialites, and celebrities, arranging them to look as if they were in the audience of a fashion show.
Included on the cover are pictures of Coco Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Jackie Kennedy, and Andy Warhol. Featured inside the edition is a Q&A article with the executive editor of WWD, Bridget Foley, in which she responded to questions about her perspective on the changing nature of fashion journalism.
