Daily Front Row released today that Susan Posen, acting CEO and mother of Zac Posen, will be leaving the company as a result of the company hiring a new CEO. Susan Davidson, also CEO of Scoop NYC, was appointed the position last month, though this is a recent decision by Mrs. Posen to leave the company.
“The company is now poised for a new phase of growth, and I have decided it is time to step aside from my current role as acting CEO and pursue other interests,” Mrs. Posen said in an email to WWD. She continued, “I’m pleased to welcome Susan Davidson who has joined us as CEO. I look forward to their growth and success.” Mrs. Posen will, however, become the chair of the board for Zac Posen.
In other news about the young designer, speculations have been made that he will return to New York to host his Fall 2011 show as a result of mediocre reviews of his Spring 2011 collection that he controversially hosted in Paris in the Westin ballroom, where Yves Saint Laurent historically presented his couture collections.
